What goes on in your usual day, and how do you make sure it is productive?
My alarm is set at five in the morning. I then go back to sleep till 630 AM, when I finally wake up. (I will do it one day, though). I exercise, journal, and meditate before starting my workday. But because I’m just human, sometimes I’ll continue checking Twitter till 8:30 p.m. What keeps me productive is entering a focus bubble after making an actionable to-do list based on importance and urgency. To be productive, I try to keep meetings and context transitions to a minimum.
How do you give concepts life?
I start by jotting down every thought that comes to me in a Google doc when I have a new idea. Then, I’ll arrange the information and pinpoint crucial specifics, including what the good or service is, who it’s for, and how it may make money.
If the idea still piques my attention, I start by playing around with user flows and procedures and creating a prototype. While doing this, we are speaking with as many customers as we can.
I occasionally want to put a concept to the test to see how it works. If I can get there, I consider if I can sustain this for a while. Usually, the practice is fun even when the answer to the question is no.
Which fashion trend most motivates you?
I was just shown the capabilities of AI/LLMs by a buddy, and I’ve been captivated ever since. It’s amazing to see how others are building their own ideas around this technology.
What is a productive habit, specifically?
Persistence. Problems will always exist.
Your capacity to endure and overcome challenges will help you to sustain productivity.
What advice would you give to yourself in the past?
disregarding how other people view you.
Tell us anything that practically no one seems to agree on.
The 1995 Goofy Movie Soundtrack belongs among the top ten albums of all time.
What is one thing you usually do that you also encourage others to do?
Choose a life coach. It was one of my best decisions ever.
What do you do when you’re overwhelmed or unable to concentrate?
Journal! Writing in a diary has proven to be a really effective activity for me when I need to focus again.
What is a tactic that has helped you grow your company or advance your career?
You learn a lot about what it takes to run a successful business through the bootstrapping process. To start bringing in money, it requires a discipline to stretch a dollar and control cash flow. This tactic aids in reducing spending on items that are not necessary for the business’s running. Do we have a compelling online presence? Definitely not, no. But is our business doing well? Yes.
What is the biggest failure you’ve ever had in your career, how did you overcome it, and what did you learn from it?
Negotiations for an acquisition had been going on at my old business. Even a deal for millions of euros was signed by me.
In the end, I got nothing. Why? I didn’t ask the tough questions and look into the long-term feasibility of the agreement more carefully. Compared to my own firm, the acquisition took up more of my time. Nothing had happened a year later, and my own business had suffered.
For me, it was a fantastic educational opportunity. It doesn’t matter who is participating or how nice everything sounds. Verify all the information and speak with trustworthy friends, advisors, or attorneys. Conduct DUES DILIGENCE. Make sure you are aware of how you will be impacted, and prepare for the worst.
It was challenging to overcome, but in the end it prompted a change of direction that eventually gave rise to my current business.
Which business idea would you be prepared to impart to our readers?
a marketplace where unneeded plane tickets may be sold. It’s not a completely original idea, and I’m sure others have tried it before.
What applications do you use to increase productivity? What is its use?
In my business, Google Docs and Sheets account for about 85% of the total. As a previous project manager, I have used almost every technology available, yet there is something simple and enjoyable about an Excel spreadsheet and a basic paper.
What was your best $100 buy recently?
I recently shared a pizza with two friends. It was simply another one of those comedic nights without anything particularly noteworthy happening.
Do you have a favorite book or podcast that has been really valuable to you?
Exceptional book. especially if you are the boss of a corporation. I valued Ben Horowitz’s descriptions of the challenges he faced as a leader, the thinking behind his choices, and the manner in which he carried them out. I think a lot of people get caught up in the startup scene because they think it’s easy to succeed, but it’s actually quite challenging. Therefore, hearing about some stories that put the difficulties you would have as a leader into context was useful.
What movie or TV show have you lately enjoyed, and why?
I regularly watch YouTube as a result. documentaries of all kinds. I enjoy learning tidbits of information about unrelated subjects.(I know I’m boring.)
It appears that I have been getting ready for a Cash Cab episode. (If that ever comes back)
Conduct appropriate due diligence for each transaction. Don’t assume a good result will happen.
While working, create a focus bubble. Put duties in order of importance and urgency, and stop having meetings on certain days.
You learn everything a business requires and doesn’t need through the bootstrapping process.
