One of the co-founders of TemplatesGo.com, a business established in June 2022 with the goal of making the drafting of legal documents easier through the construction of a document generator, is Nga Nguyen. Nga, a native of Vietnam, has been residing in Barcelona since 2018. She worked in the supply chain sector as a logistics and export manager for more than eight years before starting her own company. Nga completed her master’s degree while living in Barcelona, where she also worked as a short-term intern at a start-up business, growing her professional network and gaining essential experience for her current project.
Nga chose to follow her entrepreneurial ambition of launching Templatesgo despite having a background and skills in international trade and company development. This would let people and companies create official papers more easily.
What goes on in your usual day, and how do you make sure it is productive?
My regular days are really simple. My regular morning routine includes a workout at the gym followed by a full meal. I then look through any unfinished business and email messages that need a response to start my day. We operate as a remote team, therefore I list our daily tasks on Trello, and we communicate about our work using Telegram. My main responsibilities are to evaluate goods, analyze company and competitive data, and create SEO and marketing plans. We convene meetings once a week as opposed to everyday to go through system improvements, content ideas, etc. that each team member wants to put into practice. We also discuss and assess fresh ideas before choosing the most significant and crucial ones for our endeavors.
How do you give concepts life?
The idea for the Templatesgo platform occurred to me while my friend and I were writing an invitation letter for a friend. We discovered that looking for document samples, copying, and creating a whole formal letter took a lot of time, and we reasoned that there must be a quicker way.
This is how the idea for developing a tool to make document generation simpler for people like us first emerged. I used to construct contracts, addenda, and formal letters for my former employer, so I am aware of the time and effort needed to perform legal research and create legal papers. I thus made the decision to start a company that would give people a simple, editable tool for producing a range of official papers and expediting the writing process.
Which fashion trend most motivates you?
I’ve been particularly pleased by the AI movement in recent years. It has the ability to completely transform many sectors and find quick solutions to difficult issues. like writing computer code.
What is a productive habit, specifically?
My daily regimen, which includes exercise and three weekly visits to the steam room, boosts my output. I usually spend 30 minutes working out and an additional 10 minutes in the sauna to re-energize and prepare for the next day. I then begin with easy tasks to speed up my process. In contrast to other jobs that take more time and effort, this method helps me get started more quickly and keep my focus throughout the day.
What advice would you give to yourself in the past?
Set goals to get out of your comfort zone sooner, spend time learning new talents, and discover how to start side ventures! I must admit that while I was a college student, I lacked any clear goals. I didn’t think about my passions or interests. Instead, I did what was expected of me by finding a stable career, making money, and getting married. However, I think that contemporary women have the freedom to choose their own paths and to be who they want to be.
What is one thing you usually do that you also encourage others to do?
Speak less and listen more. It applies to every aspect, including relationships and business. One of the emotional intelligence talents that may help you build deeper relationships with clients, consumers, users, and coworkers in the business sector, in my opinion, is listening. If you listen more to better understand the wants, challenges, and goals of your consumers, you may offer better solutions and more persuasively convey the value of your goods or services. It also enables you to better grasp their issues, suggestions, and needs, which strengthens your team.
What do you do when you’re overwhelmed or unable to concentrate?
I would drink some water and then take a little stroll outside. Every time I feel overwhelmed or preoccupied, it helps me to relax and refresh my thoughts. No matter how busy you are, allow yourself to relax if you are under strain. Your mental health is really important. Put it first and foremost.
What is a tactic that has helped you grow your company or advance your career?
I have always tried to find answers to issues that seemed insurmountable in my profession and in business. What is the issue, why did it arise, and how can it be fixed? are questions I would ask myself. I’m still looking into the issue, trying to figure out the root of it, and examining various tactics or fixes. In addition, I kept an open mind as I searched for a solution, which helped me to advance and broaden my knowledge.
What is the biggest failure you’ve ever had in your career, how did you overcome it, and what did you learn from it?
One of my worst errors as a previous B2B employee was failing to check the financial standing of a client company and being a victim of fraud. The issues and debt that this client created when he made excuses not to pay our business and tried to steal the containers took six months to address. You will unavoidably run upon clients or colleagues who have been duped in business. Before starting a new company or entering a new partnership, it is crucial to look into the background of the other party and perform a comprehensive investigation by looking through their business history, LinkedIn profile, chatting with people they know, etc.
Which business idea would you be prepared to impart to our readers?
I am willing to let Templatesgo.com have my company idea. I’d like to describe how I came up with the idea and how this business can make document production easier for everyone.
What applications do you use to increase productivity? What is its use?
For a distributed corporation like ours, I’d suggest Trello. It helps us to clearly and accurately allocate responsibilities. We may choose which activities will be daily priority and quickly follow up on new projects, ones that have been finished or are up for discussion.
What was your best $100 buy recently?
I recently spent that much on supplies to help me organize my home. I take great pleasure in living in a clean, tidy, and well-organized home. It also helps with brain clarity when you first wake up. Since there is no chaos or disorder, I am more productive and feel more energized every day.
Do you have a favorite book or podcast that has been really valuable to you?
My life and personality have been significantly impacted by Daniel Goleman’s “Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ”. Through his writing, Goleman highlights the value of emotional intelligence for leaders and modern society. Self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, and relationship management are the four key components of emotional intelligence that he highlights.
These abilities, in my opinion, are necessary for everyone who hopes to lead well and successfully manage the complexity of the modern world. Developing your emotional intelligence may lead to substantial changes whether you are in a leadership position or just want to better your personal connections. At least in my situation, it is.
What movie or TV show have you lately enjoyed, and why?
I enjoy the television series “You” and the psychological subgenre.
